Insane Waterslide

The world's largest waterslide, the Verrückt, is located in Kansas City MO. The word Verrüct, means insane, in German, that is how 'gnarly' this slide is. Verrüct is seventeen stories high, which beat the record of a slide in Brazil, the fourteen story high, Insano. The velocity as you come down is faster than sixty-five miles per hour. As the 'Wizard of Water', Jeff Henry designed, and built this slide from railroad tanker cars that were cut and welded into a single tower. He is called the Wizard of Water because he is responsible for most of the parks other water attractions. You have to climb two-hundred and sixty-four steps to get to the top of this massive slide. After you plunge down the first seventeen stories, you are lifted another five stories for 'the hump' right before your joy ride is over. I would want to go on this slide because I think it would be amazing to go 65 mph down a waterslide.

Micro Windmills

Micro windmills were designed to do what a solar powered device couldn't, they can power a device without the need for sunlight. Jung-Chih thought what if you can fit a thousand windmills in one cell phone case? So he created these micro windmills for emergency reasons. Meaning you can use them to power a cell phone long enough to call for help if you were lost, hurt, or in a situation where you needed to call for help, if your cell phone didn't have power of course. These tiny windmills can withstand strong winds as well, it is made of a nickel alloy to stay in one piece. Each windmill has a 1.8mm diameter rotor that is mounted on a 2mm tall tower.
